Ms. Mary June Chandler has been the librarian at Fairview High School since 2003. Before Fairview, she was the elementary librarian at Hanceville Elementary for 11 years. June has also worked as an evening librarian for Wallace State Community College since 2000. One can usually find her there on most Monday and Thursday evenings.
Ms. Chandler is a graduate of Auburn University (1978 & 1980) and a graduate of Cullman High School (1974). She was born in Cullman and is the daughter of Everett and Mary Agnes Chander. Both her parents were educators. Everett retired from the Extension Service at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville and Mary Agnes retired from Cullman Middle School. June's mother passed away in 2006. She now lives with her father in Cullman. Her dad recently celebrated his 94th birthday.
Ms. Chandler has served as the District I President for the Alabama School Library Association (ASLA) and served 3 years as a board member for District I. She is very active in professional organizations and has a special interest in educational technology.
